Currently Utilizing Accessibility in Peer Support

Passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities, guiding them through their recovery journey, and fostering community and empowerment. Utilizing professional training, empathetic and practical assistance is offered to those in need. The goal is to create a safe and inclusive environment where participants can share experiences, receive peer support, and access valuable recovery resources. Focus groups are facilitated to promote inclusivity, accessibility, goal-setting, and active listening, ensuring a nonjudgmental space for open dialogue. By immersing in peers' lives, feedback is collected to enhance support initiatives, and storytelling is used for connection and personal growth. Developed accessible PDFs outlining current events for the center to ensure information is available to all individuals. Committed to fostering supportive and empowering environments, practicing empathy in everyday life, and respecting cultural backgrounds by observing and understanding how individuals feel and experience the world around them.
